Here is St Matthews New Prayer Page

We plan to have prayers updated monthly on this page and also a list of people to pray for. We also have our parish prayer and a series of articles on how to pray by our former vicar Revd Sue Groom.
If you wish for a name to be put on the website please email the details to . The amount of time the name stays on is up to you, however names will be removed, if neccesary, after four weeks unless otherwise requested.

Heavenly Father,
help us here at St Matthew’s Church
to serve you with joy
and to support our community with love;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Prayer for the Month

This month our prayer for the month has been written by Audrey Lee, one of the parishoners at St Matthews.

Prayer for Prisoners

Lord, I pray today for all of the people who are in prison; some of them ‘good’ people – prisoners of conscience – and some of them ‘bad’ people – murderers, terrorists, and rapists. Lord, You know each one of these prisoners, as I do not know them. Lord, You know what has made them what they are. Father God, you are a God of infinite mercy and compassion. I just commit them all into your hands – in the name of Jesus Christ my Lord.
