From Revd Julia...

Dear Friends,

Thank you all so much for the very warm welcome I received on my first Sunday in church, and for all the love and support poured out during my first three weeks with you. It has been a whirlwind of new faces and names, some of them I’m connecting, but not many yet; please forgive me!

The highlights so far have been school assemblies, meeting and talking to the Tues afternoon Fellowship (do you always have cream cakes?), and the Confirmation Service, which was so uplifting and moving, especially as I had been able to meet the adult group at one of their classes. There is such a lovely ‘family’ feel at St Matthew's and I’m looking forward to gradually meeting everyone and finding out everyone’s gifts, talents and passions.

Thank you especially to Sue for giving me so much of her precious time, for being so encouraging and for breaking me in very gently.
