STOP PRESS - FINANCE UPDATE

This year just seems to have flown by and I have just managed to catch up with the Church’s monthly accounts. I have just a quick note regarding concerns over the level of planned giving.

Four months in and we have a hole developing between our actual planned giving and our budgeted planned giving of £1,164. If this trend continues by year end we will be nearly £3,500 short of our budgeted income which will affect what we can afford to do.

If you are a relatively new member to St Matthews do please speak to myself, Judith Gase or Ray Bristow regarding the planned giving scheme and about maximising your giving if you are a tax payer. This also applies to any long standing members who has never managed to get around to sorting out regular and tax efficient giving.

A note to all, please do pray that we can turn this shortfall around as we need to ensure we can financially afford to fulfil the plans we have for this year and into the future.

Regards and God Bless

Sheila Congram
