Pentecost Praise

Where were you at 4pm on Sunday 11th May?
Well, about 40 people came down to St Matthews Church to enjoy the fun at the Pentecost Praise, having been enticed by the promise of food afterwards! With live music provided by the music group (including a rap!) and lots of fun art and craft (the altar front created by the art group was still attached a week later) we learned about how the Holy Spirit came down onto Jesus’ disciples (and sang happy birthday to the church!). We even learnt to speak different languages like the disciples, and where different countries are in the world!

There is sure to be another service like this sometime in the future so make sure you don’t miss out!
(As I was leading the singing, I may have been a little biased, but I thought the service was wonderful! It was nice to alert people to this service on the Saturday by giving out free cakes in the High Street along with a leaflet. A big thank you to all of those who came and got involved, and especially those who prepared the service – it was moving, fun and I’m sure a great time was had by all. I’d definitely recommend coming next year for even more fun and games! - Magazine Editor)

I must say i agree with the Magazine Editor, the service was great fun (even if i am a little biased) do try to make it down to any other service like this.
