St Matthew's Children-Can you help?

It is very important that our young people feel valued and support in our church and Sunday school is a vital part of this. As many of you are aware, at this time I have a health problem and have had to withdraw from some of our support with the young people. We need help in both Sunday school (two adult helpers) and with our summer holiday club . For Sunday school, this would involve coming along to the hall one Sunday per month during the 10.30am service to supervise the children. No experience is necessary as all training can be supplied- all you need is a desire to help our young people explore their faith. If you think this is something you might like to get involved with do speak to either myself or one of the other leaders. Our young people need You.

The summer club for children aged 5 years and over will run every morning from 10am to 12 noon on Monday 4th August to Friday 9th August. The cost is £5 per child. During the week the children will get to learn about other countries, take part in craft and drama activities, play games, singing, do puzzles and just have fun. Applications must be received in advance as places are limited due to space and helpers. Applications forms are available at the back of the church or from the school office.

To enable the above activity to take place we need adult helpers. If you feel you can give up one or more mornings to come along and help, we do need you as the more help we have the more children can come along. If you feel you are unable to come and help- don't miss out on all the fun - come along to the all age worship service in September and see what we got up to.
