Yiewsley is well placed for shopping, with several supermarkets and a range of specialist shops along and just off the High Street.

Other Businesses & Services
If you've got something to say about a particular shop, please use the Visitors' Book to send your comments: does it offer good value? Good service? Or is it best avoided? If so, why? To keep things fair, comments will be passed on to the owners of the shop concerned to give them an opportunity to respond.
Three Supermarkets... Of our three supermarkets, Aldi offers the best value and fastest checkouts; the Co-Op offers the best range and is open latest, until 10pm Monday - Saturday; and Tesco is the most popular (or unpopular, depending on your point of view: it's certainly the busiest of the three stores). If you're on a tight budget it's well worth comparing prices and shopping around between the three — and make sure you don't miss Iceland.
But No Bookshops! One thing you won't find here in Yiewsley is a bookshop: for that you'll need to go to Uxbridge or Slough. There are two major shopping precincts in Uxbridge, The Mall (Pavilions) (where you'll find two bargain/remainder booksellers Octagon Books and The Works) and The Chimes (for Books Etc).
Our nearest Christian Bookshop is Maranatha, 22 Windsor Street, Uxbridge, Middlesex UB8 1AB (Phone 01895 255748). For Christian Bookshops elsewhere in the country visit the UK Christian Bookshops Directory.

On the second Sunday of each month St Matthew's Church hosts a Fair Trade stall after the 10.30am service — but why wait for the Fair Trade stall to come to you? Visit one of our local Fair Trade stockists today: Fair Trade is for life, not just for Sundays!
Some Fair Trade Products
Co-op, Yiewsley: Probably the most comprehensive range of Fairtrade products you'll find, including chocolate, tea & coffee, Geobars and wine.
London School of Theology Books & Resources, Northwood: Suppliers of the St Matthew's Fair Trade stall each month, offering an excellent range of Fairtrade products, including chocolate, cookies, tea & coffee, Geobars, muesli and sugar.
Tesco, Yiewsley: Limited range of Fairtrade products, including tea & coffee and Geobars. Tesco could offer much more, but it's up to us to make our views known: next time you're there, please speak to the manager about increasing their Fairtrade range.
